Soba, Udon & Somen Noodles 

It is believed that the noodle originated in China as early as 5000 BC, then spreading to Japan and other Asian countries. Noodles have been a traditional Japanese food for over 1,500 years.

These noodle varieties are made using the traditional roll and cut method and are slowly air-dried to improve the flavour. Soba are medium thick and buckwheat-based. Udon are a thicker, wheat-based variety and Somen are very thin and wheat-based.
